Description - The background of this piece is a charcoal drawing of the Eiffel Tower, from a photo I took in Paris. To contrast with the harsh contrast of background, I used bright pink pumice medium, which stands off the page.  The quote in the center is "La Vie en Rose," meaning "Life in Pink." This French quote is the focus of this piece. It is a reminder to look at the beauty in life and the world around you. Thus, the darkness of the background represents the wonders of the world that get taken for granted every day.
