Description - “Deep Sea Sugar Rush” explores the clash between nature and indulgence. The octopus, a creature of the deep, is placed in a chaotic sea of brightly colored candies, an unnatural yet tempting environment. Created with colored pencil, my piece contrasts the nature made octopus to man made candies. My work reflects themes of temptation, overconsumption, and the blending of the natural world with human excess, all through a surreal lens.
