Description: This piece sheds light on how those who display a harsh and intimidating exterior often battle deeper fears and hidden demons alone. These battles are often in hidden in the shadows, all consuming. The creature sits the dark, staring towards the light, longing for it, but not knowing how to move towards it. Even the stairs offer the possibility of a way out, but the darkness above represents the unknown that is often more terrifying than the known terrors we stay and sit with. The lines of the room bring focus back to the creature, as if escape from his own head is also impossible.
